About Kim

As a brand photographer, I am passionate about helping you build an unforgettable brand that enhances your online presence and attracts your ideal clients.

I used to be an awkward girl who lacked confidence and didn’t see her beauty or worth. It wasn't until my mid-40s that I started to see glimpses of my own beauty, and I achieved that by taking pictures of myself. 

Since 7th grade, I dreamed of being a photographer and spent most of my life doing the ‘right thing’ by working in the corporate world. That still, small voice was calling me every day and getting louder. I started off by taking landscape pictures, but I was drawn to people primarily. 

One day, I decided to practice posing and lighting in my studio without telling my husband or son what I was doing. I locked the door and planned to delete all the images immediately because I was sure I wouldn’t like them.  

To my surprise, I found some beautiful images of myself. I excitedly showed my husband and son the photos, and they enthusiastically agreed that they were beautiful.

This experience made me realize that everyone has their unique beauty, and feeling beautiful can increase your confidence and help you achieve your goals. 

I decided my mission is to empower women to see their own beauty and use their images to magnetize their brand so they can attract their ideal clients.

Fun facts about Kim:

  • I earned my Master's in Public Health in 1997

  • I have my Black Belt in Six Sigma and Lean Certifications

  • I've wanted to be a photographer since 7th grade but squelched it until I couldn't 

  • I love to explore. It started with my horse and trail riding as a teenager. 

  • I'm married to the Love of My Life, Jeff. 

  • I have one sweet adult son.

  • I'm vegan, gluten-free, and nut-free. (that's a lot!)

  • I love to road and mountain bike with my hubby - it's part of exploring

  • I live in an RV and enjoy the nomadic lifestyle for the last four years

I’m also a big believer in giving back. I invest my time and talent in helping amazing non-profits and cause-driven organizations to fulfill their missions. Girls For a Change is an organization that I am grateful to lend my support. Girls For A Change was formed in 2000 with the mission of empowering young women by inviting them to design, lead, fund and implement social change projects that tackle issues girls face in their own neighborhoods.

In addition to my work behind the camera, I am passionate about body image and confidence.

Sadly, we live in a culture that makes it hard for girls and women to feel confident about their bodies and self-image. I speak to audiences about body image and how we can create a more positive and empowered perspective about ourselves. This passion drives me to empower my clients in every photo shoot, so they look and feel their best from the inside out.
